trunk rattle problem

I have two 10" subs in my trunk that have caused the trunk lid braces to break away from the trunk lid. Now it rattles like hell and sounds terrible. Just wondering if anyone else with a first generation Pulsar has had the same problem and what you did to fix it. What were the braces glued to the trunk lid with? Is there something else I can put between the braces and the lid? Some kind of silicone sealant? Maybe some kind of padding like weather stripping or something? I know about stuff like Dynamat but I don't want to spend a bunch of cash. I just need the trunk lid to stop rattling against the braces.

I have run into the same problem with hood bracing. If you just want to stop the vibration, you could probably use silicone or some kind of rubberized weatherstripping. You basically just want something to fit between the 2 parts. you local HomeDepot should offer several inexpensive options to your problem.

after you secure the trunk bracing back in place you should dynamat ( or similiar material) the whole trunk lid, that should eliminate the rattle, I have 2 12's in my sentra trunk and that's what I'm going to do one day,

Now I had an N13, but here's what I used for rattle problems:

It's basically bubble wrap, except I think it was 2 layers thick and it has reflective wrap on either side. Anyway, I didn't have subs but I did have a problem with rattles and squeaking, and this stuff worked good. It's really, really cheap too.

I got it at home depot, in the insulation section.
