i was doing some surfing on the net when i found a site that made me realize that there may be a difference in the 1988 E16 and the 1989 E16. Anyways, i have a 1989 Sentra 2 dr. with SOHC and 12 valves. When i went to advance to get plugs i asked for plugs for a 1988 Sentra. I got two different brands and couldn't install either one of them. So i got the numbers of the old plugs and ran them through a paper catalog instead of the computer and got the right size. Is there a difference in the head between the 1988 and 1989 Sentras???

the 88 has a e16i (8valve) engine and the 89 (12valve) has a ga16i engine yes the heads are different
