My sister has a 93 Sentra Classic and went through a puddle and she says the car died.I have looked at wiring diagrams for the ignition and fuel system from the Haynes manual and Mitchell on demand and nothing matches this car which I believe was built in Mexico.After troubleshooting as much as I can half blind with no info I concluded the car has no spark and no gas, but does turn over like crazy.The coil is good and the pickup in the distributor is good I checked both..If I jump the relay for the fuel pump which I found above the fuse block I can make the fuel pump run.These 2 systems are both controlled by the computer.The idle air control solenoid also clicks continuously every second .....click,click,click, when the ignition is on which is again controlled by the computer.The big question is am I missing something or do these computers just go bad ?? any help is appreciated.
The classic B12 thing explains lots in relation to parts and the diagrams problems I was having.The classic thing was also a blessing since I managed to find a computer from a older model for $ 22 and installed it now everything is working great.Thanks for your help and I hope this helps someone else.
where talking about the canadian B12 --- badged sentra classic on the lid in the back... no SER here ...also the never sold 91-94 sentra SER in canada .. only the ga16de.
