Exclamation NEED HELP ON Ca18de GAS GAUGE

I have a 1987 nissan sentra, i put the ca18de in it. I am having trouble getting the instrument cluster to work. I only care about the gas guage. If any one knows how to hook this up please help.
*NOTE= This is the ca18de wiring harness going into a 1987 sport coupe cluster. I have cut this harness, to do slight mod, but now i'm stuck!!
I have the gas tank grounded.I have power going to it. I have the sending unit wire hooked up( yellow/and orange?) But i get nothing when i turn the key. If any one knows what i am doing wrong please help. Thanks Jason

Just a guess... The cluster gets all it's power through the flashers. Be sure to have that plug connected. When I did a tach swap I thought I had it wrong, it didnt work right until I gave up, plugged in all the connectors and BAM!! It was 100% good.

Everything is pluged up but it's funny that you said that bucause my flashers don't work!! I don't know what's wrong with it.

your best bet is to pick up a pulsar cluster, boost_boy can get you one...maybe...but with mods itll go right in...some cuts here and there, and its plug and play!

I have a pulsar cluster if you wanna try that but I think maybe there's a problem elsewhere. You need to check to see if the voltage regulator on the back of the instrument cluster is grounded, recieving 12 volts in "acc" and "on" and make sure it's putting out 8 volts. Does your temp gauge work?

i had the same problems when i did the b12 sedan to sport coupe cluster swap...if you have a pulsar harness in yoru sentra, just use a pulsar guage cluster, im betting youll have zero problems after that...
