car still heat ūp 3/4 guage

and doesnt go down from there ?? anyone with me it is still bubble of air into the head ??...

not yet... but ive installed the right O2 sensor this afternoon (heated one).. went for a ride .. tuning is very good up to 4500@wot / 15psi @ 6degree timing without intercooler (in a throu tbi setup) (no fuel left after that !! lol )... but rad stick this temps even on idle (from cool to hot) :S ... im replacing the rad cap tommorow morning hoping to get rid of this new problem ... also trying to find a way to increase the fuel pressure so i can juice it plenty towards the 6000rpm like im used to... pretty good for the TBI i guess ...

wath else could be wrong im not hearing detonation at all :S

Wonder if you have the infamous voltage regulator problem? Does the fan switch on and stay on?

my car was taking a decent amount of time to warm up ( too long in winter for me ) and the temp would fluctuate so i changed the thermostat ( the nissan gasket was worthless... high temp silicone all the way oh and the old thermostat was stuck open quite a bit i later found out ) and now i dont have the annoying bouncing temperature guage.. now it just runs hot when im stopped, till the fan kicks in so im debating on wiring up another fan onto a toggle to get it to cool faster.. Crazy, if its an air bubble, shouldn't it work its way out? I had to squeeze the upper rad hose to get most of the air out of mine but all of it came out in the end

actually i did convert that thing over since i wanted a new fan and it woulnt kick on ... i wired it up from the connector ... by the time i switch on, it still get over 1/2 and climbs up to 3/4 and a tid bit over that and stays there ... get 3/4 at idle... im pretty sure its the rad cap as ive change the thermostat yesterday when i putted the head back on ... making sure i wont ever use fail safe one anymore ... those engine better stay close than stay open... anyway as its new im putting aside the thermostat issue for now... i wish i could put on the intercooler right now might help a lot too ...

si its not the rad cap ... i bought one 16psi new ... putted it on ... same thing but seems like its keeping a little bit under the 3/4 now .. if i floor it , it goes again over the 3/4 marks...i got the rocker ajusted right in the mean time .. runs much smoother than wath it was used to.. hope its only a matter of intercooling right now it runs so strong !! in a blink, you go from 110kmh to 145-150kmh in 4th.. it just makes my day

My fan kicks on at about 2/3 hot. Then it cools back down to 1/2 and the fan turns off. During the hot weather last week, the engine was running at 3/4 hot (with ac on). Added about 2 cups of water and wa-la, back to normal.
