90 sentra short throw shifter ?

Does anyone make a short throw shifter for a 90 sentra besides pacesetter? Does anyone have any experience good or bad with the pacesetter part? I'm looking for one but like to find one cheaper than $100, thanks

I pretty much gave up seeking one out. I bought an extra shift lever from the junkyard here for my '87 Pulsar, and I'm extending the arm below the ball an additional 5/8 inch. I'll get back to ya on it...

I have the pacesetter in my car. It is made very well and it works great. The kit even includes a new Nissan OEM lower boot and bushing. Being adjustable is cool too. i have my shift throw down to about 2 1/2" . i did have to cut away the exhaust heat shield to clear the shifter and added a couple of washers under the shield to clear the control rod. Cheapest place i found was jcwhitney.com ($60 or $70 I think ? ) . it does a lot for making the car fun to drive.

It's $80 from JCWhitney.com, but I found it at the site below for a little cheaper:

HOT_DAYUMN, the pic of the shifter just inspired me! I cut the little cross-tube off the bottom of the shifter lever, and now I'm gonna wirefeed-weld a long metric bolt to that little tube and thread a matching tap through the hollow lever where it used to join up at and make my own one-off adjustable shifter. I swear, you guys are great for inspiration! I'll keep ya posted...Thanks!

Sounds like a good idea, wish I had a welder so I could do schnazzy custom work. Good luck with the project.

Here's a picture of my interior. It gives you a pretty good idea of how short the Pacesetter shifter is when adjusted pretty low. I think my throw between gears is something like 2 1/2 inches maybe ?

Thanks for the updated pic. Looks a lot shorter than stock. Very clean looking interior by the way. Wish mine was that clean, but the previous owner wasn't very nice to it.

Thanks, I can't even remember how high the stock shifter was ? I bought this car, put it right in the garage and changed a bunch of stuff before it went on the street. I got lucky, found this car out of state and it is pretty clean. Much nicer than my first B12....

I ordered one here It says $74.99 but I called and they gave a better deal. I talked to Steve, his extension is 224, I can't remember the toll-free # but I'm sure its on the site.

Exclamation

If you have any problems with the shifter being extremely tight after you install it, let me know and i'll tell you how to fix it. I did have a slight issue with mine that required a little change to make it right. Now it is like glass.
