Ok, I noticed something quite a while ago. A few people I know with pulsars have put driving lights in the front bumper (well under i guess) cause there are little holes that almost beg for it. Well, i started looking for driving lights one day and found some good ones...decided i'd measure my holes........i have a different front end. Maybe its just cause its the only XE model i've seen but is there a weird front bumper available or are the XE and SE models different there?

I've got a 87 Pulsar NX with the e16i engine and I don't see any holes in the front bumber for lights(only 2 holes and they have the turn signal lights in em)..My 88 Pulsar NX SE has a totally different bumper which is taller and it has 4 kind of long rectangular empty slots in the front bumper, the two on the very bottom look like just styling holes where nothing will really fit in there but the ones above it look like you can slap lights in..
I have a 90 bumper which has big holes for driving lights. It was mandated in Canada from 1990 up to have daytime running lights but since it has pop-up headlights they enlarge the holes to put driving lights on. Here is a pic;

not exactly the best to see what the bumper looks like. But it has smaller holes than Mervic's. I'd take another pic but I threw away the bumper due the all the front-end damage.
wow cool, ok. i think i'll look for a canadian bumper i like the idea of having the big holes for big lights
