Hello Every1,

My lowest setting (1st) does not work. But sometimes when going over a pot hole it suddenly works. This happens sometimes even WITHOUT the wiper being switched on.

I checked the wiper motor contacts. Seems to be ok. What might be wrong ?

Any advice is much appreciated.

The wiper switch contacts are also ok.

Is there a relay for this circuit ? Could this be the problem ?

There's usually a black box near the motor, that's the wiper "amplifier" box, I don't know what's in there though, should just be some timing circuitry, possibly a relay too.
