Hey guys i'm thinking about a project to setup, either a 1989 nissan march or a B12 sunny....Which do ya'll think I should use...How would the sr20de fit in the B12? How would the ca18de fit in the march?
what engine does the march have?
The sr will not "bolt in" to the B12, you need custom mounts among other things, but any E, CA, or GA series engine will bolt in, but you still have to deal with the wiring and other stuff that goes along with a swap.
Ok thanks..Sorry about the late reply...But I really don't want the hassle of frabicating mounts and all of that..So I guess that i'll use the ga16de and turbocharge it...But are u sure that the ga16de is a direct bolt back onto the march mounts??
That usually depends on what engine it has in from the factory. If it's got an e-series engine in it then I'd say the GA should bolt in, but I can't be absolutely sure because I've never even seen a March or it's engine.
Well i've come to the decision that it will be a 89 march project ok...Now I wanna use all around coil over suspension with some kyb's or koni adjustables, 12'' front willwood braket kit and not sure what for the back, custom made strut bars and that will b it for suspension and brakes.. How does that sound tell me if it sounds nice and whats else should b used or what is not needed..
wassup Power, good luck on the project. Whats your location? i must have seen only one nissan March in the USA ever... They are called "Micra" in canada. I have a friend who swapped a sr20det into a march but it took a lot of cutting and fabricating to get it in. The car pulls hard... Its not impossible but its a lot of work. Keep us posted.
Coilovers sound good, I don't have any so I can't recommend anything. Wilwoods would be cool, would have to be custom though wouldn't it, I wasn't aware they made anything for the march or even my sentra. Strut tower braces help some, and it's not a bad idea to look into some thick sway bars to keep body roll down.

Yes it is that's why i'm using the GA16DE engine which is a straight fit back onto the mounts no frabication needed...I'm located in barbados....Of course i'll keep ya'll informed no problem..

Well I have had now luck in finding a fuel inected head in my country as yet and the GA16 engine that a guy wants to sell me is bare and is carbureted...I would buy it but I can't seem to find any fuel enjected heads...Do ya'll think I should buy the engine?
