What can you check/replace on B12's (E16) to get better gas mileage? Its -40 below here and the gas mileage on my car has really gone down because of the cold. On average Im lucky if i get 230km on half a tank of gas. In the summer I got about 300-350km (i think) per 1/2 - 3/4 tank. How many miles do you guys normally get out of your e16? Mind you, one thing I know that hasnt been changed on my car is the 02 sensor ( ive looked over all the receipts from the lady i bought the car from and its not on there, and the car has 150 000 km on it ). Any input would be nice.
You should really get a new o2 sensor. The o2 sensor is what tells your computer what air/fuel ratio it's getting, so if it goes bad it basicly tells the computer it's running lean(not enough fuel in the mix) all the time and makes it dump unneeded fuel into the engine.
Yeah, Im planning on replacing it soon.. if this damn cold would only leave! It's been -30 celcius for the past couple of days.. the car starts fine cept itll stall once and then itll go and keep going. So the 02 sensor will have to wait till spring time pbly
