Its a Sentra automatic! Im thinkin its clogged since when i pulled the tranny oil pan off off it was very gooky and sludgy! eeewwyy
or you lost a band...i dont know how nissan runs their automatics but if it has a separate band for reverse then thats it.

thanx...whatever the heck a band is! sounds expensive to me! OMG i forgot to tell yall...I it goes in reverse SOMETIMES and i have noted that it only goes when i been drivin round in drive! im sorry bout that i completly forgot!
I think the problem might be the 247,000 miles. I'd say that car doesn't owe you a dime at this point.
which like i said could be a band...best bet is to get it rebuilt...or get another one

haha MINE only has bout 150k on tha clock. 247k is what my sisters got!
AND SHES GOT A STICK!!!
150k and bad automatic....still could be true. had to rebuild my chevy's auto at 140k.

Cutlass can haul balls when tuned right......
Whats weird is usually a manual tranny will out last an automatic...yet my manual hasn't seen more than 150k

, But... My mom has an 88 Cutlass with a 2.8L MPFI V6 (I Recently put new motor in) My dad has a 90 Cutlass with 3300 MPFI V6 (can't keep it running good) BTW, the Tech-4 is the Iron Duke 2.5L TBI 4 Banger. I had a 88 Grand Prix (W body) with the 2.8L MPFI V6 (POS)
