Cold Ga16i rattling at high RPM

hi

When my engine is cold, it makes kind of a rattling noise at "high" rpm, but as soon as shift up the noise stops until the rpm comes up again. When the engine is hot this noise stops completely even at "very high" rpm. Should it be a concern, can I do something about this ?

It's because there is very little oil in the head when the engine is cold and the valves are going to be a bit noisier because of it. Don't rev the engine up when it is cold. Wears your parts out alot faster.

By High rev I mean normal shift with normal rev at the end of each gear e.g. +or- 3000...
I'll try to give it a few more minutes to warm up next time.

Check your oil level too, could be low.
