will 2" pipe be good enough?
i have some nice chrome 2" steel pipe and i was wondering if thsi will do for now as intercooler piping or will it be too restrictive? im only gonna run about 10 -12 psi max for a long while. boost boy, hybrid det, crazymart......anyone! please help!

that sounds like it would do fine for a 1.5 liter, but i'm no expert in the turbo area. I'll probably be running 2-1/2" or 3" pipe on the ca18.

ok and ive heard that having a larger in pipe on ur intercooler is more efficient is this tru?

honestly, i don't know but it seems like that would help "funnel" the air into the smaller pipe and cause it to have a higher velocity and be able to ram more air into the cylinders. There is always an optimal piping size for a particular application's PSI and CFM. I wish i had some kind of formula or something to help you out.

i did that and i found some of the smaller ones runnin 2" so it should be fine.

cars are like science projects when you want to modify them.
reaize your going to try many differnt combo's before findign the right one.

Id say give it a shot, but dont take it out as soon as you pipe it and and run 12 psi right off the bat. Take the car out and gradually work your way up in boost. If you have any way of measuring intercooler effieicy or temperature hook that up. Run the car a bit then check the guages.
I dont think youll have to many problems thoguht.
