GA16DE To GA16i Compatibility

Hey guys. I was just wonderin if the flywheel and/or the underdrive crank pulley from the B13 motor will fit on the 89-90 motor? Same block but I don't know if they will fit for sure.

only difference is the intake manifolds... tranny and crank stuff should be no problem... but if you have your doubts, you can always call nissan and inquire about the exact parts numbers...

my guess would be that they're just shaped differently

not similar... they must be the same. If they're similar, you might have to do some modifying... but I'm pretty sure it's okay. Just make sure the engines are both GA16.

the pulleys should be fine as long as:
a)They are capable of withstanding the force exerted on them (UR makes good pulleys no problems there)
b) they mount the same (bolt up etc).

Mike Kojima did an excellent write up about the UR pulleys. It can be found here:

Kojimas Garage

Email UR about the pulleys before you purchase them!
