the guy said it was around 50,000 but i'll have a better idea later on when i tear into it. I pulled the spark plugs and it's safe to say they've never been changed and the piston tops are pretty clean. There are no sings of burning oil so that's good to start out with.

Sweet! That 'rain gutter drain' mid-pipe absolutely kills me every time I see one. ROFL GTFO. Japanese tuners certainly have a strange aesthetic. I am genuinely jealous.

BTW If it's a JDM it would be 50000km not miles. Either way not to worry.

yeah i don't know if i want to do something about that pipe or not, i was thinking about welding up some pipes for the intake istead of having that "gutter drain" because that doesn't look like it would work to well with an intercooler.

i got it here.
the seller was very easy to deal with and had alot of patience when i was trying to deal with my shipping issues, since the guy that was going to help me pic up the motor pulled out of the deal, i had to find a business to ship it to to keep the low-ass shipping cost. It looks like he might have a couple more CA18DET's from what it says in the aution, I haven't asked him about it though.
Oh yeah, boost_boy knows this guy and says the motors are as described in the auction, and i've never been dissapointed by any of boost_boy's advice. It was definitely a good deal.

Looks good! Don't let the dirt fool ya because most of that is fluids from other engines leaking onto this one and dirt collecting into the fluids. These engines have been chilling for a while now and was very surprised when you jumped on it. I'll tell, even though it's the older model, it still kicks ass the same way as the new one does. Get rid of the cross over pipe or you will get robbed of power.
