This post is for people with a bad gasket around the glass on the sunroof. (myetball)
Went to the jy today and picked up a new piece of glass that has a pretty decent seal around the glass, By the time I got it home, the seal started to separate on one of the corners
Permatex to the rescue. A few months back, I posted about a product by Permatex called Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass sealer. The stuff glued the gasket back together like a pro. And no, I got the only half way decent sunroof in the yard.

Sounds good. I think I'll give it a try while I save my pennies to buy a new one.

It's not too much. Just gotta get a sunroof at Pepboys or something, buzz a hole in the roof with a saber saw and install it. I've done it once and it turned out pretty nice.

you'd better be damned sure of what you're doing before you do it though...or else you'll be really screwed...you'd have a permanent skylight

If you look at how the hole in the Pulsar's roof is made, it's alot more than just a hole in the roof. I wouldn't recommend trying to install a factory sunroof in a car that didn't have one. I'd say go out and get an aftermarket one, they are designed to be installed in cars that don't already have one.
If you use a blade for metal the saber saw will cut through the roof like a hot knife through butter.
The hardest part is drilling that first hole for the saw blade. Once you drill the hole there's no turning back so make sure you confident in what you are doing.

i was also going to recommend that if anyone does an aftermarket sunroof that they take the headliner out first and make sure they know what they are cutting through. usually there is nothing but some cars have dome light wires, antennae, third brake light sometimes...all kinda of wires maybe. but usually nothing. also its easier to cut through one layer of material at a time..cut metal then cut the headliner with something more appropiate than a metal blade on a saber saw.
