It has been brought to my attention by a fellow list member, that myself and a few others are not being helpful here. I don't want to make any decisions based off of the opinion of one person. I just wanted to get some input from you all. Here is a quote from a fellow list member who will remain unidentified.
Quote:
Yes, Charles was wrong, boost was wrong, You were wrong. Every friggin time you guys "tried to help" it was wrong and we've had to compensate for the wrongness. And honestly john, 500whp 11 second cars are not very impressive buddy o pal.
And yes, your damn right I expect you guys to share with me what you know. That's the only friggin reason why I asked in the first place. However, you guys have been wrong on so many ocasions, I wouldn't take the info you gave me if you did it yourself.
All posts done by you WILL be ignored by meself for now on. I'm sorry but you just havn't proven yourself to be a dependable person.
Please let me know what you think!
John

I think it is pretty disheartening to read all of this. I have spent many hours in the past four years writing articles, answering questions, and researching potential b12 modifcations to share with others. Now I question if this time was put to good use.
I'm not paid for any of this and do it simply for the passion I share with many of you for the B12.
i hear ya! though i havent contributed much i hope i can learn a great deal and share a great deal as i progress through my e15et swap and build up. if it wasnt for the guys on thsi forum i woulndt have even know about this engine or anyother performance mods ofr these cars! us true b12ers gotta stick togetha!

Well, I guess it really depends on what kind of work someone is doing. I've gotten a great deal of sound and valuable information from this forum, my knowledge of these cars has increased significantly because of the experience and willingness of the other forum members to help.
If someone is doing radical modifications to a swapped engine the knowledge base shrinks significantly. But, it doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss it, how else are we going to learn.
In the end, it's up the each of us to gain the knowledge and experience to work on our own cars. Blaming someone else because one doesn't know what he's doing is ridiculous.
EDIT: $.02 more. For every one guy that does not find help on these boards there are a dozen more that are much better off and really appreciate the info in this forum. It's for all the folks that put this info to good use that I try and help when I can. I'm not going to stop. I've got too much info and resources at hand to just let it sit here and collect dust.
The stupidest question is the one never asked but please do a search first.

I think this board is very helpful and so are you guys.
I for one knew absolutely nothing about cars when I first got mine. I started reading these forums and posting and now my knowledge has expanded far more than I may of wanted it to . I live, eat, sleep, and dream car and car audio thanks to you guys.
About being wrong, not everyone can always be right. If any of those three people ever led you wrong its because they're human and they make mistakes. In my honest opinion there information is always informative and very detailed and they put up with people like me who always ask stupid questions they've heard a million times.
I just want to thank everyone for the time they put into this forum to make it as gretat as it is.. Thanks.

sounds like someone doesnt check after reading there internet info.
i use this board just like i use my own honda board. to gain knowledge and ideas. but even if i trust someone i always double check for my damn self. just due to the internets "reliabilty" problem. i have found so many to be wrong on "the net" with honda info that it isnt even funny. so im sure it might happen on here (remember that 90hp typo thing for the ca18de in 1989?)
i have learned alot from those here and shared alot of my headaches and drama with the project i have going.
special thanks to myetball and boost boy especially crazy mart to and a few others whom i cant remember there names.

Man, what a perfect topic for my 200th POST!!! Woo hoo!--
This forum has provided a good 90% of the parts and information specific to my car that I have used for my project thus far, and will continue to help me. Its an irreplacable resource for obscure information that I couldn't live without. There's probably only 10 people in the country that have done what I'm doing and they're all right here waiting to spill their guts. Nissanforums is my homepage....what more can I say

Same here, if I never would have found this forum I would have given up on my B12 a long time ago, and i never would have had the chance to learn as much as i did about cars from reading this forum and working on my own car. And like Myetball said, it's up to each person to learn everything they can about something they're doing to their car instead of just hoping that what someone else said is correct and then blaming them for your mistake when you should have done more research before just diving into something and not knowing what your getting yourself into.

Honestly, I don't even think wrong information was ever given. I know my car and the experiences I have gone through like the back of my hand. Charles has detailed everything, and I've come across almost everything in an identical manner. If what I've done was wrong, I think I would have known it long before now. I think this is just one persons personal lash out for their own ignorance. I've decided not to take it to heart. Thanks guys for reinforcing what I knew to be true! This forum rocks!

Too funny. You don't have to post to vote. Anyone care to wager a guess as to who voted no? It doesn't really matter, Nismodriver is correct in not identifying the guy that sent that message.

Just look at the stats. I'll spare the grease gun, this forum rocks. If everyone got a nickel for every person that benefitted from something they posted...... Hey, without this forum, I would think Sentras were just another piece of s&^$t rice burner.

That is the reason I don't post alot of technical information, because 90% of the time they fall on deaf ears. (lord knows how many e-mails I have recived in the past 3 years). The majority of the people will not go about doing half of the things they ask and I have wasted time typing the same thing over and over and over and over..............(your get my point).
I commend you, Dee and John for having the patience to constantly sharing information and giving advice.
