I bought my car with 95k miles a couple years ago and I have no idea if the O2 sensor has ever been changed. How do I test it if I remove it to check it?

it has to be installed to check it, you have to back-probe the o2 terminal with the engine warmed up. the voltage should be between 0 and 1 volt, rev the engine while checking it and the voltage should change. If it dosen't, then it's bad. Bad gas milage is also a good indication of a bad o2 sensor.
