radio light out?

1st post in a while

1989 Sentra sedan 2dr

My oem radio light when out. The thing still works but I can't see the time at night. Anyway to fix it beside replacing the unit? It happens before and it com back on by itself some days later but not this time

And a darn good radio it was. You can get cheap replacement radios like Rampage at auto part stores.

Yeah I agree, I think its best to replace it.. I mean it is 13 yrs old.

the reason why I don't wanna change it is the wiring. no time like back in college. Thanks for the Rampage radio can they play CDR? or CDRW? I'll probably getting a $150+ mp3 player if can't find a replacement soon. had too many bad experience with Made In Taiwan/China stuff

Whats wrong with the wiring? If its still OEM most the tim you can buy an adaptor/harness to go to your aftermarket radio.
