Hey guys, I've been following the posts on this forum since I inherited my sister's '86 Nissan Sunny (Sentra). I've been driving the car forever but since it's mine, I have a new found entheusiasm in Nissan and B11's. My pervious car was a '89 Integra, and now I have a 95 Civic, so I've only now been learning about Nissans and it's family of engines. OK, try to overlook the fact that I've only owned Hondas, if possible.
I've already started tinkering around with the car whenever I have the time ( I can help it ). I'm no mechanic, but I know my way around things. I'm learning. Anyways, just wanted to say hi, and maybe I can contribute to the B11 questions if I can....maybe.
I've posted some pics of the car. Hopefully you can see them. She's got some rust, and the interior isn't in great condition. It's a 4 speed manual with a E15 engine. It's running great for a car going on 300,000 km. Tell me what you think.

***** I'm sure it is, because in the pic, you can see that there are no VCM components on the right fenderwell. I really like the green paint and the non-US bumpers.
I'd be willing to bet that the US cars are the only ones to get the electronic carbs [for emmisions reasons]. Has anyone seen a "hopeless chokeless" outside of the US?
As I recall, in my 85 Pulsar shop manual the California and Canada emissions/fuel system were markedly similar. Both electronically controlled carbs, but with a choke and with vacuum/mech distributors.

***** Interesting, because I once owned a Canadian market '87 B12 GXE wagon, and I was sure surprised [and delighted] that it had the simple choke carburetor. That's also where I got the factory tach and k/mh speedo cluster from.

Yeap, there sure is. Japan also has their fair share of 'hopeless chokeless', again due to emission reasons.
Btw, i know this sounds stupid, but how can i recognize a VCM? In the picture, it looks like E15 doesn't even have electronic ignition (or does it), but mine has, although it's still a choked carb. Is it really possible to have elect. carb with choke????Now i begin to wonder if my carb is elect.
