Question Need help with power problem

I have an 89 sentra with a g16i engine. When I accelerate the engine boggs down and loses power. If gently accelerate it seems to run fine but does have some tapping. I have replaced the plugs, wires, and fuel filter. What else can I do?? Also the car has 197,000 miles most of the engine and parts are original.

Adjust timing, probably time for a new water pump. Check the EGR system...check this THREAD for some instructions on how to check it check the EGR. May be time for a new timing chain.

You might be looking at a bad air mass meter too. Time for a good mechanic.

Try cleaning the injector? Before going into more major repairs, it might be a good idea to give it a try..

Check for any trouble codes in the ECU diagnostics.

Okay here is where I am now. I have added a fuel cleaner, an oil cleaner, and a new air filter. as for the ecu codes and air mass meter I don't have the means for right now. Any other low cost answers??? Or any one know of a Sentra parts site???

By cleaning the injector, I mean actually removing it and removing filth built up on it. (It looks like a very fine metal mesh; use Q-tips and small folds of paper towels gently) I've done it before and it cleared some bogging issues in the past.
