How much faster is the GA? I never came across another B12 for that matter while on the road. The cars are the same weight and all, so does anyone have some number/experiences on 1/4 miles or whatevers. Direct me to the right thread if it this has been went over already. Just curious, thanks!

My old B12 running the GA16i owned a E16i powered B12. I had a 4 speed as the E16i had a 5 speed, both manuals. I had open intake, exhaust and timing advanded 8 degrees. The E16i had a cat-back. Stock for stock, I still would say the GA16i owns.

I think the 5 speed was on higher models. The base or E model got the 4 speed manual. A fifth gear will only drop the revs about 500rmp at highway speed, which is too far below the powerband to do any good. The 4 speed can also shift late, my 2nd gear hit the rev limiter at 64mph. The 5 speed's 2nd gear I think hits around 52mph. I think the 4 speed is mopre apt for racing because of it's rather large 1st gear, makes for great launches.

yeah trust me the 3spd auto is a shitbox, it's such a shit box i think it uses feces as the tranny fluid, can't wait to get the 240 i'm looking at

Hmmm, now that I hear so much crap about the 3 speed auto-tranny, I am glad to have the 4 speed manual. And is it me or does the shifter on our 4 speed tranny's feel a lot more positive than a lot of other cars, like the new altima's manual tranny or even the old manual 240's? I donno I am just biased to the B12 already.
just curious i got a 4 speed and i find when i push first gear past 15mph i am really pushing it and the engine sounds really bad so i gota shift into second...is this how it is with you guys or do i got a problem here?
If I am not mistaken, first gear at least in my car lasts to about 25 mph. And it pulls strong all the way, should not sound that bad man, what kind of bad sounds do you hear though?
