Wink The "Newbie's" B12

Here is a picture of my car which has been in the family its whole life. Just over the last couple of years I have taken possesion of it and have made some minor mods to it. Right now using a Blaupunkt deck with two coaxial alpines in the front and two eclipses in the back. As for my woofer I have a 1000 watt max Kenwood amp running with a RF HX2 12 incher. Bought my springs off of some dude for 60 bucks, they are the intrax 1.75 springs. Other than that just the minor things like my 3 inch autometer tachometer, and shift knob LOL, and bigger pedals LOL. I just ordered the passenger side mirror to match and some GTS headlight covers. So should look a little nicer soon. Oh yeah as far as my engine goes, just K&N, and 2.25 (non mandrel bent.... aiye!) inch piping cat-back, and a generic "high-flow" muffler with a fat tip hehehee.

Haha yeah that is door sag too many people leaning on it while it's open I guess Argh!!!

As for the mirror for the right hand side. I am just getting the matching base model mirror. Though I just saw a sport coupe on the road today and man I wanted them, I like the way they point upwards, hybrid DET's are sooo nice.

I just ordered the GTS headlight covers off of ebay. Got the bid for $22.99 plus S&H which was another 10 bucks. Hey B12racer, why do you need only one side?

Yes need rims....... but my good ole 175/70R13's will have to do for now.

Thanks for the compliments

I'm jealous. That is one beautiful B12. Like the 'rims' you have on it now. With it being nice and white, the black bumpers don't look that bad. Yeah, I see door sag too. What amp you running? I just bought the Kenwood KAC-8101D wired to two Kicker C12s and it hits hard. I think i'm gonna blow em though Exhaust is really nice, hope it sounds good, too.

Yeah I agree with SuperSentra4203 with my "rims" LOL. Oh I am running the bridged Kenwood KAC-929 amplifier. I got is as a gift from my cousins as they upgraded to bigger and better sounds.

Hehehe So I really have not read the specs or anything, just that the 1000W max is kinda far fetched, it's considerably lower than that...... But the darn thing sure makes my car shake rattle and roll! I like the cooling fan and the blue light it emits LOL. The exhaust is something I am very proud of. I did not want that high pitched "buzzing" sound but rather the deeper low robust sound from it. Well I think it is as good as it going to sound from the E16i under the hood, not too too loud but then again I had some dude walking on the side-walk say "Keep it down @ssh0le" Oh wells......

Looks like really nice, straight clean car. Although, I'm an avid "wheel-cover-hater", I think they look pretty good on the car. You also have a nice system. Just watch for signs of water in the trunk to protect your equipment. Can't quite make out your plates, so I don't know you're climate. Mine luckily is not rusted, but leaks and holds water until I get the shop vac out.

One suggestion and please take this as constructive criticism. The car looks great, but you would be surprised what an hour of your time with masking tape, newspaper, and a can of semi-gloss black would do to those window frames. I did it to my red '90 Sentra and it looks much better. Makes the frames blend in with the dark tint. And, yes you can do it at home and it will look just as good if you took it somewhere and had them painted.

Enjoy your ride!

Thanks for the tips nickthegenius, my trunk is doing alright so far. No water whatsoever gets in. The only place where water will get in and sit, is around the seal of the trunk when the car is parked slightly downhill.

Hmmmmmm that is really an interesting idea of painting the sills black. Does anyone have any pictures? Otherwize I will just stick my picture in the paint program and see how it looks like that. I just might do that this summer, Thanks

yeah i painted mine, you can see it in my sig... also if i may...get an alarm man, those locks are easier to bust open and break into than your mothers pantie drawers!! thieves know this too, if yoru guna keep valuables in your trunk, shave the locks and get a trunk poper...
