hood won't sit right

My hood sits about 1/4 inch or so too low... I tried adjusting the bushing things but they're already as high as they can go.... It latches fine and the body is straight, checked out the frame also which seems straight (I'm the 2nd owner of the car, previous owner never wrecked it).... dunno what's wrong, it's driving me mad...
/me reaches for the wood blocks and super glue

There are a couple things you should look for. The two screw type adjusters on the front corners may be damaged. There should be two rubber stoppers/bumpers or whatever along the inside fender edge where the hood sits, about where the strut towers are. If they are damaged or missing the hood will sit too low.

I wonder how much they cost. I went to Nissan a while back to get those screw in rubber dealies for the front and they wanted almost $13.00 each. Alot cheaper at a junkyard. Unfortunately, it's tough to get the bumpers by the strut tower out without tearing them up.
