Sagging 2-Doors

Hey guys,

I got a slight problem with my 2-door B12's doors sagging a bit and creaking like hell everyone once in a while. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this problem like changing hinge pins/bolts???

yeah one of my dorrs lags a bit too...i sprayed soem wd-40 in my hinges to get rid of the squeek, and i think i will try to tighten the bolts down a little, if that dont work i will take it to a weld shop and have them spot weld soem reinforcement welds in....

u guys might want to head to the dealership and get some doorpins and bushings and replace them. this isnt exactly an easy task, mind you. you will definetly need help or a friend with patience. those pins dont like to come out on the first tug depending on which way they are in there. as i said in the doors wont open thread . if ur rubber boot is rubbed off of ur doorlatch , this is ur solution. i dont have an easy way of telling u how to install the retainer clips because those are a bitch . i still havent gotten mine on and i did this about 3 months ago. pm me if ya need more info diaz

Your hinges are worn out from neglect of lubrication... and no amount of lubrication now will solve the problem. You must address the worn hinge(s) which is not a simple project.

go to the jy.... and practice removing a door and remove the hinge pin bushings. Or buy new ones. O - It was a real PITA to do cuz you gotta rmv the inner/outer fender and all kinds of crap to get at the hinge bolts. I did by myself but it would have been LOTS easier to do with help. But it was worth it.

Hmmm... Thanks for all the help. Sounds like a pretty big job for a semi-small annoyance. Like B12Racer said, I will probably just wait till the doors fall off too!!! LMAO

Been there, done that. I saved my cash and just slammed the doors harder, they shut.

***** Why not just weld the doors shut, and pretend you're Bo and Luke Duke?

Yep... hehe.. My passenger side door hinge got warped or bent from people leaning on the open door I think... annoying-ass noise when shutting.... tried wd-40, worked for about a week.... *sigh* off to the junkyard...heh.
