Actually, as E16 carbs go, this type will give you the least amount of trouble. Only the chokeless ones are problematic. The ones with a choke work great. They don't funnel dirt into the float chamber like the chokeless ones do. For $50 that's a steal. That carb would cost around $700.00 at the dealer.
DOH! Nobody bid. I bet if you contact the guy he'll sell it for $50.00. I've done it before for other items that didn't sell at auction. Just ask the guy to send you a paypal bill (money request) if that's the way you pay.

My fault for not looking closely enough at the ad, I thought it was one of the chokeless carbs (which is what I have in a trash bag).

I don't see why not. If people put weber carbs on their E16s you should be able to get this to work. It would be a project with all the hoses you'd have left over plus getting proper vacuum to the diaphrams. I checked and they both have air/fuel mixture solenoids and anti dieseling solenoids.
