Question (Car Newbie here) I'm about to grab myself a factory '89 sentra...I need some help..

I'm already having enough trouble finding info about this car online. Does anyone know where I can find the specs and stuff of it? So far the only thing I know about it is that it's 5-speed manual (which I don't know how to drive but my friend is gonna teach me. )

Anyways, I'm checkin' around and finding various information and stuff, but I still want to find some better stuff and make this car into a beast. I wanna get you guys advice in working with these...

I'll have a better look at the car specs on monday. In the mean time, I'll also snag some pics...

I recommend him just telling you how to drive it, but go find a nice empty parking lot and learn by yourself. It is easier tryiing it your self instead of having someone in the car as they tend to bitch a lot. I learned to drive in my B12, and it was a 4 speed manual. Once you get her moving, it gets really easy. Good luck

Ok...I've checked out the car...

It's in so/so condition. (We get to fix it up a lot )

The driver's side window is broken...
Front winshield is cracked...
The passenger's side door sticks...
The steering is WAAAY too tight...
The speedometer is broken
I need/want a tachometer...
...just some of the problems.

Plus, I just drove it today and my friend taught be how. Driving manual is REALLY different...phew.

But I'm still looking forward to it ^_^

Anyways, it's a perfect project car.

I'll start a progress website:
http://www.thetokenproject.com

but it'll be quite a while before I can even BUY the car (school and all...)

Anyways, I'll keep you posted...

I got a windshield for 110 bucks installed. Tinted too.
replaced the hinge bushings with used ones to fix the sag- free
Used lots of WD 40 to get the other 3 doors to work proper
Check to make sure the boot on your inner tie rods are not ripped. 10 bucks each for new ones. Move the wheels all the way to the right then left to check.
There is some great info in this forum if you want to replace your cluster with one with a tach. 15 bucks at the jy.
