Looks neat and plus points for the fab job...but...

"breathes sooo much better" ???

Highly doubt that unless your stock air filter was completely clogged.
Likely just make a bunch more noise...like a fart can muffler vs. a stock muffler.
The only thing it makes more of is audible dB.

Hard numbers, dyno runs, 1/8 or 1/4 mile times, or your just blowing hot air...

My issue with it is that it would be sucking in all of the hot air under the hood rather than colder, denser air routed from outside the engine compartment.

so now its bogging under acceleration and sounds like its not firing on all cylinders (had the firing issue before) 4 vac lines were changed when i swapped. i ordered them down below in the fallowing pics. right now i have #2 running into the filters bottom #4 just left open with a separate filter #1 into the bottom of the air filter. and #3 is a very small house that i capped. i was wondering if anyone can tell me what each of these do so i can fix the issue asap. thank you

There should be a vacuum diagram under the hood. If not, you should be able to get one at the free repair guides available at Autozone.com. You just need to register an email address.

im noticing a small increase in gas mileage as well. 2-3 mpg. nothing huge but its an all around plus. i can back that up with actual mileage. i fill my tank and it takes 5 days to get down to 1/4 of a tank (the car is only used to go to school and back) and today was the 6th day and i had 3/8ths of a tank. sounds like not a huge difference but eco mods are always great. next is some b13 header install. then euro cam

ive yet to see an actual cold air intake for these cars thats ran outside of the engine bay....and cold air is a good thing BUT more surface area for air to come in is just as good. the next plan is to make a box to isolate the air filter. i dont plan on building the ga16i they're peices of junk compared to the sr20 that swaps in. in the feature ill put itb's on convert to mpfi and get a more aggressive cam regrind done. titanium retainers port and polished head and call it a day. then sell that engine and drop my sr20 out of a g20 in

talking about bogging, one time I took off the plastic pipe that goes from the stock air cleaner housing to the inner fender and going up this gradual hill near my house the car was struggling, I had to down shift to get up this hill, I pulled over and put that pipe back on and it made it up the hill with no problem.

I come on these forums to help if I can, if I say something wrong and someone corrects me I also learn something.
