New Purchase - B12 Coupe - Questions!

Hi All,

Recently got a good deal on an '88 RHD (UK Spec) B12 Coupe. It's what was sold over here as a Nissan Sunny ZX Coupe which I think is an SLX in Europe. It's got the 1.6 CA in it and has done 60,000 miles. It needed some work to get it road legal but that's now all sorted and I've been driving it around for a few months. It's brilliant!

Some photos:

Now, the car is not without issues... I'd like to try and find a replacement / alternative for the rear spoiler as it's 24yr old rubber and it's knackered. The sunroof seal is also screwed. I've got a timing belt kit (incl water pump) and clutch to go on as they both need doing. I think the belt interval on the CA is 60,000 miles, and I have little service history so I don't know when it was last done. My high beam doesn't work and so I'm trying to find an RHD light/indicator stalk. I think I've tracked one down in Australia but mine doesn't look stock, it has an extra wire running out of it with a 2 pin connector on it (might be for front foglights, haven't chased it out yet). It also idles crappy, if it's cold and I turn the headlights on it nearly stalls. It needs a good service though so I think new fluids, filters and ignition bits when I do the belt and clutch will help.

If anyone has any advice or recommendations on any of the above please let me know!

Sorted my high beam out now by replacing the indicator stalk from a breaker. I decided to change the rear brakes today (this car has rear discs as standard) but the discs are a pain in the ass. The wheel bearing and studs press directly into the disc - there are no other moving parts in the hub. It's lighter and cheaper to make but it makes changing discs take ages!

I also broke the caliper carrier which is not good. I'm after another one but I'm guessing from all the threads about rear disc conversions that you guys in the US never had rear discs as standard?
