New Member ...issues

Hi all, new member here. Got grandma's 1989 Sentra GA16i a few months ago. 120,000 original miles. Runs decent, needs some TLC. The problem I have is that when I press the brake pedal, sometimes it's spongy and sometimes not. When it is spongy, it runs rough, like it's sucking brake fluid into the vacuum line. The level goes down in the master cylinder without any visible leaks. Has anyone else had this happen, or is there something I can check to find out where it is going? I replaced the master cylinder this past summer. I thank you!

There's probably air in the hydraulic system. Bleed each wheel cylinder.

If the level keeps dropping in the master cylinder, check for leaks at each wheel cylinder and hoses.
