ignition setup after engine rebuild
Hi everyone
My car just recently had the head gasket blown and I decided to rebuild the whole engine and do some upgrades with resources available in my country.
I replaced all internals: pistons, rings, valves, valve guides, main bearings, oil pump. Etc etc.
I also ported a little bit the head and upgraded carb and carb manifold. I built my own set of headers since I can't afford import one of those.
The problem that I have nos is that I'm having trouble setting up ignition after the rebuild. Manual says 7 degrees BTDC but since the engine was modified I'm not sure what to do.
Anybody can help me?
I should also mention that the dizzy hitachi 4DR-83 was also modified to fit a hot spark ignition system and the so called crane fireball XR700. This units are sold here in my country but no support from the vendor. I've been researching for some help but found no answer.
