Question 89 coupe dash with rpm gauge on 89 sedan

I once saw a 88/89 Sentra coupe(u know the less boxier model with rear hatch door) dash with speedo and rpm gauge on ebay. it's looks 100 like the one in the sentra only with a rpm gauge. does any1 know if it would work with the sedan mode with out new wiring?

Just buy a tach and stick it on your dash. Click on my sig, there is a picture of mine there.

i think it would need some new wiring, but i cant see it needing a whole lot. The sensor is already there, you would proably just have to connect some wires to get the data feed off of the wires going to the ECU.

I tapped a line right off the ignition coil. It doesn't look good but it works. I'm not sure how the GA16i is wired, but you could try it my way.

Go to your distributor. The one line that does not go to the engine goes to the ignition coil. You have to splice a new wire onto the green wire on the ignition coil. Atleast that is how I did it on my e16i. Your engine is different from mine.
