Question Question bout Cig. Lighter in 1989 Sentra

I just bought my 3rd sentra, I bought mine as it has always been a dependable car, and very economical to own. With this one I am not sure what class it is, however I believe it is probably the base model as it doesn't have intermittent wipers, only 4 speed, and no cigarette ligher!!!

I didn't think that was typical to sell a car without a cigarette lighter. I have my old 1986 sentra (the Diesel) that just died and I am going to send it its eternal rest where it can be a organ donar to others who want to keep theirs going. That diesel has a cig lighter I'd like to take and put in the new one, but I am not sure if there are even wires to do so.

Thanks!

The wires should be there. Since the cigarette lighter was an option on your car, the wiring is in place. Makes it easier to build since they don't have to have a different wire harness for cars with or without lighters. Plus if a customer order a lighter, the dealer can pop one in without too much trouble.

It should be on the same power supply as your clock...provided you have a clock

Yep All wiring should be there... If not all you needis a good ground and a FUSED power wire. You can run it off the IGN. or straight off the Batt. I sugest the IGN. for saftey reasons, but this should be a null and void point unless someone has butchered the wiring.
