Check your engine mounts, if they are ok, check your tranny to block bolts. If all that checks out, pull out the problem axle and look at the circlip. It should be resting in the groove with no binding. if it's bent or sticking, get a new one.
Now, insert the axle into the tranny until the splines start to engage. Turn the axle sightly to the left and right by hand. Is it spinning with some drag? Yes=good. push the axle in as straight as you can and you should feel it "click". No click? Put the axle nut on a few turns and then tap the axle in by hitting the nut with a hammer. Not too hard........and keep the axle straight. Still not going in?,re-check the circlip,it's usually the problem.
