I was just looking up in the haynes manual how to change the tranny fluid, and it seems simple enough. but then i was thinking where the hell if the tranny filter? and how do i change it?

you should use dexron II for the auto and 75w90 gear oil for the manual.... as of the filter ill have to check on mine (not in the car so could take a few days)

Dexron/Mercon III is about all your going to find in the DEXRON class. Its basically an upgraded version. As for Auto tranny filter, Use anything but FRAM and you should be allright.
