With some modifications, A GA16DE, A SR20, all CA series motors it all depends on what you want! What's your budget? But then again, if you plan on changing your motor, why do you want to waste your money on headers! Help us, help you by telling what type of power you are looking for and the level of your mechanical expertise.

As far as I know, the CA18 and GA16 will bolt in. The SR20 has been done before, but very difficult. The main problem you'll have is the wiring. Your going from a SOHC TBI motor to DOHC MPFI. I wouldn't waste my time with headers, as you really shouldn't either if you want to do a motor swap. My best advise is to research what you want to do, make some sort of "game plan", and be prepared to drain your bank account. Power is costly and addictive. I'm going to do a CA18DET swap into a B12 by the end of this summer, and I've been getting a lot of info and help. You'll learn everyone here can be of some good help. The main factor is how much you are willing to spend and what kind of power you want. IMHO, it won't take much power to get a B12 a'scootin'

Click on the www under my replys and it should take you to photo section of the old car. You should have a GA16i (12valve throttle body injection) in your car. If you can find one, there's GA16DE-i with the same throttle body injection, but the 16 valves instead of 12 that might help in the performance department. There's a few more guys in this forum that has fabricated cold air intakes out of PVC pipes as well. Sonce you're on a budget, I guess headers and a good exhaust will suffice. Those engines were not designed to be screamers, but there okay for little fun. I'm more of a dreamer that dreams theimpossible, then pursue it so I've spent plenty of hours and money experimenting with my cars. My end result was the CA18DET which has proven to be an extremely stout little motor that is up to the task and race proven. Good Luck

You can post an image by going to the 'IMG' button right above where you type in your reply. Other than that, I'm not sure. Never posted a picture. As for exhaust, headers, intake, I reccomend that you go to an exhaust shop that can fabricate these parts. A lot of th etimes they are actually cheaper than buyinmg name-brands and can be juct as good. BTW, power will do you nothing if you have a stereo system booming away. I had one, but sold it to lighten up my car. 100lbs make a huge difference with these cars. I was bored once and totally stripped my interior except necessary gauges and the drivers seat. The car scooted beyond 105 no problem, and had a beastly 1st and 2nd gear.
