some ?s

i know the headlights are different so will the grill off of an 88 sentra fit my 89?

my transmission will sometimes slip when i start off, once it starts it will not stop until i come to a stop and start over, it has a new clutch. what could this be it is fine otherwise

tonight all of a suden my engine just seemed to open up on me sounds like it is getin more air or something no more power though. any suggestions?

if i go with the 2 inch lowering springs what will happen if i stick with the stock struts for a bit?

thanks

no idea about the grill. Adjust your clutch. After it was installed it may not have been adjusted properly. Does the engine sound louder or the exhaust?? If it is the engine check to make sure all the parts around the intake are secure, if it's the exhaust then you know what to do. Get under that car!! If you go with a two inch lower springs you will probably kill your struts pretty fast.

Throw-out bearings won't be the culprit, the pressure plate would be. Odds are he had them all replaced, so i'd adjust the clutch.

You mentioned that the headlights were different between the 88 and 89 but I don't think they were....I know the corner marker lights were different, but not the headlights.
As far as the grill goes, they should be the same mounts just different in their styles, I know I never cared for the sunken egg in the middle of the 89's grill myself.

The 88 grill will fit your 89, but your headlights will present an issue. It will look like garage because the 88 headlights have a filler piece below to fill in the blanks as well as connect with the grill (if it's the grill with the metal surroundings).
