My fuel and temp gauges only work on rare occasions. I've heard that a power transistor can fail and cause the gauges to stop working. Anyone know where this transistor is located or how to replace it??

Mine caused my blinkers, fuel gauge and dash gauges to quit working. In my 90 it is a transistor soldered into the flexible board, so I just replaced it with an 89 cluster.

It's a royal bitch to take my cluster out because of the way my tach is wired. I want to know exactly the way to fix it before I start taking anything apart
