Hi everyone, been a while since I was around here.

So to the topic, my '85 Sentra's engine is really tired and smokes a lot more then I do. Just curious what years/cars share the same engine as I am most likley heading to the wrecking yard in the next few weeks and if I see a decent one I may just grab it.

I have replaced engines in these before, but it was years ago. But I have never rebuilt one and am hoping I can find a decent one to drop in there, otherwise I see a lot of money having one rebuilt which is something I am hoping to avoid.

Oh yeah, it's the E-series. E16 I think is what they are.

yup its an e16, the 1987 sentras have e16s just check the engine identification plate on the block near the transmission. should look like a flat spot on the block .
