There's a feature new cars are starting to have. Chryslers have had it for a few years. Anyways, the feature is that the radio stays on after you shut the car off and take the keys out of the ignition. The radio doesn't turn off until the drivers door is opened. Very cool feature, in my oppinion. I've always said I wish I could have that feature in my car. Well I finally had some free time and a pair of relays, and made it happen.

So now when I turn the car on, the radio comes on. Open the drivers door it stays on if the key is still turned on. But shut the ignition off, and the radio won't turn off till the drivers door is opened.

It took a bit of work to figure out how to isolate the drivers door from the passenger door without killing my dome light.
Anyone else interested in doing this mod? I can explain how I did it if your interested. It's a bit in-depth, there's alot of loops of wire on those relays. Once the ignition is turned on, one relay is put into a self-sustaining power loop, the other relay is just there to break the loop.

Oh, and you need a diode, to keep from backfeeding the entire accessory circuit in the car.. hahaha..
