What’s up fellas.? Just wanted to (re)introduce myself. My handle used to be 1LOWB12 way back when sentra.net had its own forum. Since then I haven’t been on many car forums, until I bought my Spec V back last February. I liked my B12 so much, I couldn't stray from the Nissan family, especially the Sentra line. I still do have my B12, and it runs. Now it sits outside of the garage where it used to call home. I don't have the pictures right now, but I'll post them as soon as I find them. For you B12ers, I'd like to think my B12 was pretty cool. It was an '87 B12 (good ole carb) auto, white with black bumpers. It has 16" silver primax rims wrapped in 205/40 dunlops, it sits in the wheel wells pretty good with eibach sportlines with kyb-gr2s. I also upgraded the front brakes to the ’93? SE-R's AD18VEs with cross-drilled rotors. The hat of the rotor and the rear drums were painted with high-temp red. I swapped the old exhaust with a Pacesetter exhaust and threw in a K&N air filter. The most original thing I did with the car must be my headlights. I gutted part of the headlights and made a pair of projects. Within the each headlight was a 3” yellow fog light that used a reflector interior so that the glass was clear, and a 2” driving light on the inside part of the headlight. The inside of the headlight was spray painted with black translucent paint so that it looked like black metal. The original lights in the headlight were designed to still work, but I didn’t have the time to put some kind of cover like latex to put over the housing. Some water leaked through and the headlight bulbs exploded. I was almost going to make some clear tails (much like the G20s with the top bar red and the bottom signal lights clear) Well, just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I’m thinking of selling my B12 to someone that will have better use of it either from the parts or to fix up. If anyone's interested let me know. I'd rather sell the whole car than parts of it. I wish I could sell the rims separately, but the brakes are too big for the stock rims to go back on.
hi man . as we speak im waiting on the same set up from hybrid det. i was just wondering uf u were willing to part with the rotors and also how hard it was to put these on. he told me they jsut bolted right up. just wondering........
I have to find my pics. Sorry, I don't own a digital camera, but I did take pictures of my headlights. I wonder if anyone here has pictures of my car (doubt it, unless they are stalkers). You must install the calipers as well as rotors from an AD18V(E) brake setup or else they aren't going to fit. You should also upgrade your rims because the stock 13s will rub against the calipers. As far as I know, you'll need at least 15s. Other than bleeding your brake lines, everything bolts on with no other modifications. on '87-'89 B12s, we had tail lights that have a red bar on top with reflectors, and a yellow bar on the bottom, with about 4 inches or so of clear portion next to the yellow bar (you might already know this. Well, you could just remove the yellow and clear bars at the bottom and replace it with some kind of translucent material, like plexiglass, or better yet, those plastic covers from some flourescent overhead lamps like at an office or classroom. Then, replace the bulbs for the turn signals with amber/yellows, or put some kind of amber/yellow background inside of that part of the tail light (reflective tape, maybe?). And voila, clear tails (sort of, I never liked the look of full clear tails). Hopefully, I'll find those pictures soon for you guys to see.
That sounds pretty cool, i was going to start working to put some clear tailights on, they were for a 89 civic, i was just gonna fill in the holes and make more room to fit them in, i've been meaning to get pictures up, but having problems with funds for digital camera, only sentra around here that gets more looks and more compliments then some benz or Bmw's around.
