New B12 Owner.

Hey guys, I just got a 1990 Sentra off of a buddy of mine for $400, and I love it. Its a red coupe, with a power sunroof, and a little spoiler on the trunk.

Ive got a few questions though.

What would be the JDM equivalent of this car? and is it possible to convert my car over to it?

I've kind of been looking around too for performance stuff, like a header, suspension, and strut bars.

One last question, is it worth modding the stock motor? or should I do a swap? And if a swap is under way, what is there besides the SR20?

Thanks alot guys! I appreciate the help.

the JDM equivalent of the sentra would be the Sunny, I've heard people replace the GA16i engine from the US sentra with the GA15i which is almost the same, but I also found this about the engine used in the 90 to 93 sunny link below:

GA15DS
It's a 1.5 L (1497 cc) engine with a carburetor. It produces 94 hp @6000 rpm and 126 Nm @3600 rpm. It was used in the 1990 - 1993 Nissan Sunny.

for more info on the Sunny link below:
Nissan Sunny - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

performance parts are difficult to come by for the B12 sentra, most people looking for performance will do the GA16DE swap which is basically the same block with the twin cam head it makes 125 HP compared the the GA16i's 90 and is pretty much a bolt in swap other than the wiring, more power than that would be the SR20 engine, info can be found here link below:

it's hard to find performance parts for B12s (or any for that matter)

your best options right now is to do a swap, then look around for jdm kits

what do you mean by JDM kits? like front clips? or what. im totally down to do a swap, I just like to stray from the norm, thats why i asked about what else to do besides an SR20. thanks for all the input guys, keep it comin.

jdm body parts are nearly impossible to get without going to japan yourself so get them. as far as performace parts most stuff for b13 sentras fit on the b12 with little or no modification. other than that just make your own parts. for $170usd i can get you the brakets and spacers you need for a bolt on B13 SE-R rear disk brake conversion, i make this kit and run it on my own car.
