No No No,
You can lower your B12, it's just some struts (dampers) aren't made for the different spring rate and will wear out faster. Hundreds of people have sucessfuly lowered their B12's using Koni's and Tokico HP's, I was just warning you of what they had problems with. They were saying some of the cheeper struts like the KYB GR2's would only last them a year or so before they needed to be replaced, because lowering springs have an increased spring rate to keep the smooth ride, without being to soggy. On the other hand the KYB GR2's are great for a stock ride height replacement, and have a lifetime warranty. (I heard a rumour that all lowering springs will void the warranty on the GR2's)
A few other brands of struts and lowering springs for a B12 are.
Struts:
Nissan OE
Monroe (OE spec, cheap, lame, not for lowering)
KYB GR-2 (these are OE spec and not for lowering vehicles. The AGX's arent for the B12)
Tokico HP Blues (Non-adjustable, but suitable for lowering.)
Koni Special (Adjustable, suitable for lowering, but expensive)
Springs:
Nissan OE (stock ride height)
Eibach (2" lowering, progressive springs)
H&R Sport (1.8"F 1.6"R lowering, linear springs)
Intrax (approx 2" lowering, progessive springs)
Suspension Techniques (1.6" F, 1.6"R lowering, progressive springs)
Sportline Springs
Sprint springs
I hope this helps you
I haven't done anything to my struts, because they are too expensive for me right now.
