Nice to see a newbie. Just about everything has been covered in previous posts about engine swaps. A quick search will bring up many posts. Believe it or not, there are many options, but all are costly and labor extensive like most engine swaps.

HI again.

Hello there.

Thanks for replying. Last monday we already put the Ga16DE engine to the B12 car. It was great! Later on I will take some pictures for you all to see. Also, I mount a new cluch kit and a header exahust. I just need to conect the wiring to the engine and also to conect the new B13 computer to the console. We stoped the proyect there until friday, so we can hook up all those cables, shop some oil and a new set of spark plugs, mount the radiator and then try to turn on the engine; Wala! We hope that we can see the diference between the Ga16i and the Ga16DE (we mostly and surely hope so). Any other details, I will let you know. Thanks.

Ricky

I have done the GA16DE swap in a B12 also... and you can really feel the difference, especially around 2000-6000 rpms... well... the whole spectrum I guess. My GA16i bogged down when you stepped on the accelerator... not my GA16DE... it just roars to life and connects like nothing else. When you finish the swap, I highly recommend getting better suspension... I had to replace mine because the GA16DE was just too powerful for stock setup.

I used a '99 GA16DE bottom-end... coupled with '95 intake and exhaust manifold (did not contain as much of the emission bullsh*t). I hear that the first generation GA16DE is much easier to wire though... having a coiled distributor like the GA16i engine.

A stock setup is good enough for a GA. A 16yr old worn out suspension is not. While you have the engine out you should have noticed the condition of things like the ball joints, cv joints, a-arms/bushings, tie rod ends, swaybar bushings, end links, wheel bearings, the list goes on. A good set of struts and some coilovers are nice. Check the strut bearings. Check your FLAPS or check online for parts. Stock Sentra parts are cheap and plentifull. If you find a wrecked 89-90 pulsar se, well, read the stickies.

Hey pop.

Im very happy because today, for the first time, I actualy turn on the engine. IT SOUND GREAT!! I was amazed about the sound of that. I just need the flow meter because the engine turns off. I know about the suspension, thats why I mount a new set of bushings and rods an all of that. I just need the coil overs. Im ancious to run my car in the street to see how it performs. I will contact you later. Se yaa!!

Ricky.
