Can anybody tell me about the 200sx from the 80s will it be impossible to find. I could have sworn I saw one in my neighborhood. Well i Want one can anybody tell me what they got under the hood. Will there be rust spots even though I live in so cal. Where would be the best place to find one?

There are two shells in my local scrapyard... we used to own one. They were pretty good cars, rear-wheel drive 2.0 litre, unless you got the 1.8 turbo or the 3.0 V-6... lucky bastards. My father used to rally-race ours out on post, but ended up blowing out a front shock and just parked it. I grabbed the CA20E and stuck it in an old Datsun 1200... really strong stock powerplant and a good-shifting tranny. Have fun finding one running though... I have only seen a handful in my life that actually were driving.

Yeah I have seen two neither of which were running but one had to be running to get where it was and the other was infront of somebodies house like they were driving it. It seems they are not for sale on the west coast.

there is one(turbo) in my old neighborhood that an older guy uses to deliver pizza. i tried to buy it on several occasions but he would not sell it at any cost . if you live in viginia there is one in chesterfield autoparts (local pick your own parts junk yard)right now, it is a non-turbo.

I live in a small town in Washington state and my nearest junkyard has at least 10 s12 200sx and those are just the ones that ive counted. Ive only seen a few actually being driven but it seems this used to be a very popular car around here.

I went to the junkyard again today to get the ecu out of a 92 240sx (gonna put a ka24de in my 89 240) and counted 13 s12's, a lot of them have the entire engine untouched, and there were two with VG30's.

Wow, i moved down to Ft. Campbell here and after one day I talked to a guy with an 87 200SX 5-speed with a VG30ET in mint condition for $1300. It'll be mine once I get the cash!!! They are out there, just most owners won't sell them.
