B12 strength

I never thought my Sentra was very strong, well... until yesterday. I was hit my a car trying to cross over the median... pretty much my driver's side front hit her driver's side quarter panel. At first, seeing all the damage on her car (2002 Mercury Cougar), I was sure my whole front-end was messed up. Nope... I lost the driver's side running light and my bumper is scraped up. That's it. Talk about Japanese knowing how to make a car right... her whole quarter panel is shot, as well as her wheel is knocked out of alignment pretty badly, and her door is bowed inward. Funny that it all happened with me going about 5 mph!

i noticed this too. my wife t-boned a ford escort with my b12. i dont know how fast she was going but she destroyed their quarter panel, door and rockerpanel. he sentra just had a busted bumper cover, headlight, and dented the corner of the hood and fender. had it put back together looking like new in two days using a parts car . im not the least bit scared to put power in this car i think it is really strong for its size and weight.

I agree. I was in a LOWE's parking lot backing out of my spot, and was just ready to pull forward, when the person across from me started backing up fast. Next thing I know KRUNCH. He was driving a 98 Camero, and his whole back bumper and fender, and lights were gone (fiberglass fender). On my sentra, I had a broken tail light and a scuffed bumper. Once again a Sentra triumphs against the newer garb.
BTW don't try to kick a dent into the fender when your sentra won't run right. I had on steel toed boots, produced no dent and ended up with a sore foot.

Not bad construction at all considering these cars weigh less than only 2500lbs.

oh man , metal vs plastic no contest, bu tyeah i was going thru a winding british columbia mountain road when i hit a bump and my back tire lost traction and i did a 360, sliding backwards and sideways towards the opposite side of the road, a ditch btw by a river:S, when i smacked into a pole, my driver rear door, just collapsed, the pole, cement keel or w/e and everything just moved all the earth and bent over, it was right straight up over the middle of the door panel, the glass didnt' even break , but the side skirt was bent, and the top window frame was bent like 15 degrees at LEAST, and the window still didnt' break, so i grabbed the frame, bent it back, it closes fine, seals, never had a problem since, other than that HUGE dent in my door, by the way i probly hit it at about 20km/h , like 10 mph, for you yanks , and it just stopped the car dead in its tracks, saved me from goin in the ditch/river , and the glass STILL didn't break, if u saw what it took you would be amazed

ps dont be drivin sporty when ur shocks are bad, even when bitches are in the car

Kinda funny, my first B12 was totalled out by being T-boned by a ford escort.
And no, they are not very strong. The accident actually broke my unibody frame rail in half
