Guys,
I searched away and I just need a quick clarification on a couple of things before I go yank parts from the junkyard tomorrow.
After about 3 years of searching for a single one, 3 Nissan Pulsar SE's popped up in my junkard! None of these cars have been stripped yet, and all of them have the redtop CA18.
Obviously the sway bars are desirable, anything I else I should get? The seats don't mount to the Sentra rails do they?? Also, I think Im going to grab the nice steering wheel too.
The other question I have is that the junkyard scribbled them down as all 1988 Models. Most of the talk on the forums is for the 89 and 90 Pulsar SE's. Is this just a junkyard error? (I think it might be as they also list a GA16i powered one as 1988) I thought the CA18DE was only from 89 onwards?
If there was indeed a 1988 CA18DE powered Pulsar SE the sway bars should be the same right? In any case they are obviosuly larger than the stock B12 bars so Ill pull them.
Finally, there was someone selling the urethane bushings for these sway bars. Who was that and do you still have any????
Well, i worked away on the sway bars, but I ended up needing a longer wrench and the ever elusive 18mm socket. Ill probably go back next weekend and work soem more. They are a B*TCH to get off! I got the rear half off when i started stripping bolts.
I also noticed that the Pulsar has a dashboard that lights up blue! So i grabbed all the light caps from inside the dash. (Anyone interested in changing their dash up this is an EASY mod).
Also, I grabbed a tach so i could start sourcing the problems with my tach cluster swap.

soak the heads of the bolts with plenty of WD-40. i brought an open end 18mm wrench and a mini sledge hammer. eventually the parts came off.
if u want power mirrors, the SE is sure to have em. check the sticky on power mirrors above for details.
if i were u id just buy the whole car if its untouched, and convert to CA18DE

Howdy Nick,
I am the sway bar bushing guy. Yes I still have a couple of sets left. The link in my signature will take you right to them.
Got em! 2 new sway bars and mounting hardware for $9!
Word of advice for anyone who goes to do this though, adding a 2 foot cheater bar to a wratchet is a good way to explode them.... (replacement tools cost $65 )
