I'd like to replace the factory stereo system in my vehicle but I would like to know a few things first, if anyone would help me.

I'm not sure how car audio works so please bear with me. I know it is a factory 6 speaker system, and i'm not exactly sure but I believe you need to have an amp to have a 6 speaker system. I am wondering if my Pathfinder has an internal amp powering all the speakers. If so, could I just wire my aftermarket headunit straight into the wiring harness and all 6 speakers will function?

You can buy a head unit that will have power for 6 speakers but you have to be sure, most head units are for 4 speaker systems only. I would weigh the cost of a really good powerful headunit compared to an ok head unit with a good 300 watt amp.
