bigger speaker on back deck in a spec V

I did a search in the audio section, so don't flame me please. Maybe I didn't use the right terms, but I tried several and came up empty.

Anyway...

I am looking to put a decent system in my spec V (2002) and I am curious what those of you who have replaced their systems have done w/the larger speaker in the back deck. Did you replace it w/a better speaker? leave it there just disconnected? Please let me know what you did. I am planning on getting something I can add Sirius sat radio to, as well as make everything sound better. new deck/speakers/amps/and even wiring if I can afford it.

most people just get better speakers and either take out or disconnect the factory speaker. i personally dont think it sounds that bad but most poeple would say it sounds crappy.

You mean that "sub" that hangs next to the left rear speaker? I took it out, hit it a few times with a hammer, stabbed it with a screwdriver several times, and then lit it on fire. I also took out the other 2 rear speakers, but I didn't attack those ones.
