1991 Max speaker size

So, I am looking for speakers to replace the stock ones. Crutchfield says I only have 4" in the back?! I do not have the Bose system.
4" sounds really small. Can I find anything decent for these?

non-bose size back there is 6.5" or 6.5S (oversize 6.5")

you can go up to 6x9 back there without problem. that's what the Bose stuff is...
